EastEnders Fans Shocked After Phil Mitchell Dismisses Kat Slater For Jail

EASTENDERS fans are in shock after Phil Mitchell dumped Kat Slater instead of telling her the truth about his prison sentence.
Hard Man – who is played by actor Steve McFadden in the BBC drama – is face life in prison unless he accepts a police deal to become an informant.
However he has refuses to tell the truth to Kat – and instead lied pretending he only had to face five years.
But tonight while trying to sell off his crime empire, he got into a fight with Kat – and missed an important call.
He gets mad at her and makes her uncomfortable.
After Jean rips him off a new one about his treatment of Kat, Phil goes home and apologizes.
He told her: “I’m sorry about earlier, I just wanted some cash so I know you and the boys are sorted.
“I don’t want to go in without knowing that I’ve done everything I can for you.”
Kat insists she doesn’t need someone to take care of her and she will manage – still thinking Phil only has to face a few years behind bars.
But it was too much to lie to her, and Phil eventually realized that he had to tell Kat the truth.
“You deserve to know the truth,” he said before quickly changing his mind.
“This is good – it was a laugh but that’s us.
“It’s not what I thought it was and I didn’t want it to wrap around me when I went inside.
“It’s over, Kat. End.”
Kat is speechless by his wave of bombs – and Phil is heartbroken.
But fans are anticipating a turning point to come.
One wrote: “Wth Phil, he just told Kat that their #EastEnders affair is over.”
A second said: “Why would men do that?! Prefer having your heart broken than being honest and loving with all your heart!? #EastEnders.”
Another added: “Phil, you idiot… of course throw away (1) your chance of happiness…”
