EastEnders fans were perplexed Friday night, when Phil Mitchell made a gruesome discovery at Argee Bhajee – just weeks after builders assessed the building.
The restaurant was involved in a gas explosion, but work was not resumed at the site in the midst of the fire due to an apparent lack of funds.
Work and evaluation were halted, and the building has remained unused since.
But it was horrifying there on Friday night, when Tina Carter’s decomposed body was found more than a year after she was murdered.
Phil made the grim discovery when turning Argee Bhajee to ward off Tommy Moon’s stepchild bullies.
No one really knows Tina is dead, she’s probably on the run – aided by her secret killer Gray Atkins.
Gray murdered Tina in December 2020, months after killing his wife Chantelle – which Tina realized was the case.
On Friday, Phil looked through the rummage to realize he had exhumed a body before he called police to the scene.
But fans have been divided at this point, and while some rejoice, Phil has found her others call change.
Some viewers suggested that Tina should have been found a few weeks ago, while the workers were inside the building, while others questioned why her corpse didn’t smell while there the whole time. last time.
Taking to Twitter, one fan said: “I don’t mean Phil pounding the ground and finding tina’s body when the builders could have found it a few weeks ago lmao.”
Another said: “This whole Phil smashing the floorboards is really original, recently the builders found Tina a real possibility (makes more sense), then they seem to have run out of money to get work done on argee bahjee!”
A third fan added: “A body, decomposing for over a year, will be decomposed. The Argee Bargee has been visited a lot in the last year (it has been sold), but Phil Mitchell with one baseball bat. Found Tina? Sure.”
Meanwhile, another fan commented: “The builders in #Eastenders have to catch the vestments and lose their sense of smell is my theory as to why they can’t smell a rotting corpse .. if it’s Tina down there.”
For more than a year, where Tina’s body was not revealed after her death, recent footage shows her body being buried in Walford.
Next week’s scene will show the Carters learning the sad news that Tina has died, and her body has been found.
