During her live, she added that she’s also happy to answer any questions about her time on the soap as well as any other theatrical/television productions that she have worked.

In 2020, she admitted that she noticed that she was the lead typist playing the “nice” Heather.

She explained: “Heather is very difficult to shake. I had the fairy parts when I left EastEnders in the closet because Heather was so lovely and kind.

“I’m just asking for a little imagination from the casting directors.”

Sadly for Heather there is no going back to the soap since she was killed by Ben Mitchell, however Cheryl has a different opinion.

Catherine plays a host of new characters – including the Prison Governor, Laura Willis

“I had this idea when they took me out of it that they could bring back Heather’s long-lost twin.

“That didn’t happen and you know, I live up north so it’s the pebbles or the sharks.”

Catherine’s six-part comedy will air on Netflix on April 14 and follow the lives of inmates at the fictional HMP Woldsley female prison.

The actress was recently asked by The One Show host Jermaine Jenas, “Catherine, there’s a rumor going around that you might be returning for Doctor Who’s 60th anniversary…”

The new comedy is called Hard Cell and will hit theaters in April

Catherine joked that she “probably started a lot”, and hinted that she would want to return to the show if given the chance.

“What can I tell you?” She teased, “No, I wish it was [true]. Well, no one contacted. “

Tate looked down at the camera and jokingly added: “But I’m also on the same line, I just wanted to say. So if you have the money, I have the time.”
