Maisie Smith is reportedly gearing up to return to the BBC – just three months after she left the country.
The 20-year-old who appeared on the show Serious in 2020 left her role as Tiffany Butcher in December after a heartbreaking split from estranged husband Keegan Baker following a misunderstanding.
She’s supposed to be back for a cameo next month before actor Keegan Zack Morris exits.
A source told Sun that the owners felt that Tiffany had unfinished business with Keegan that needed a proper solution.
They added, “So they decided to ask her to come back for an episode. Viewers will have to wait and see if they can fix their relationship or if the bad relationship we had. see if there’s a continuation between them.”
EastEnders declined to comment when approached by the Mirror.
It comes after Zack announced that he was leaving the BBC channel earlier this month.
He said: “After five beautiful years on this incredible show, I have made the difficult decision to leave Walford and give Keegan Butcher-Baker the well-deserved rest.
“This program has really changed my life for the better. It will always hold a truly loving place in my heart.
He went on to praise the “hard work” of making four episodes a week, praising it as “huge”.
