Maisie Smith stuns the crowd with Adele’s Easy on Me at the Proud Cabaret

Former EastEnders star Maisie Smith shocked the Proud Embankment crowd as she sang Adele’s Easy On Me.

The soap actress recently left the long-running BBC show after playing Tiffany Butcher on and off since 2008.

She finally retired in December 2021 and has been concentrating on her new career ever since.

The star was enjoying the show at Claire Sweeney’s Cabaret All Stars Show with her friends when she was invited on stage by Claire.

Corresponding The sunMaisie brought down the house with her beautiful singing voice.

She reportedly told her friends afterwards, “I absolutely loved that. That’s definitely what I’d like to do more of, musical theater next.

“I’d love to do something like this show, it’s really my thing. It was amazing.”

Mirror has reached out to their representatives for comment.

A viewer also told the publication, “Nobody knew she had a voice like that. They didn’t want her to get off the stage. Look Adele, she was absolutely perfect.”

Back in December, Maisie opened up about what it was like filming her final scenes in EastEnders.

Recalling a moment filming her final scenes with family member and on-screen friend Shona McGarty, who plays Whitney Dean, she admitted she couldn’t stop her emotions from seeping into the scenes.

“Shona and I literally cried the whole time and we got so emotional after that,” the star said.

“We said goodbye to the show before the first round like we did six or seven years ago, but this time it was even more difficult because we’ve built such a beautiful sister bond.

“It’s been a sad couple of weeks because we’re filming out of order, so I had my final scenes with people spread out over a month.

“It was sad for everyone except Shona who I’ve known since I was literally a baby where she carried me on her hip so that was a really tough moment for me.”

The former child actress added that she will miss playing her beloved character and adores her.

“Tiffany is a heightened version of me. She’s stronger, she’s more fearless, she’s very charismatic,” she explained.

“I’ll just miss playing her. She’s the kind of person I want to be.”

Fans were previously able to hear Maisie’s singing voice when she was revealed to be Baby Dino on Masked Singer Live.

Earlier this month she performed Adele’s Easy On Me to a cheering crowd at London’s O2 Arena.
