EastEnders star Melissa Suffield tops out on Instagram

EastEnders alum Melissa Suffield rocked for an empowering video, as she shared an important message with her followers on social media this morning.

The actor, 29, is best known for playing Lucy Beale on BBC soap opera for six years, portraying the character – who was later killed – from 2004 to 2010.

Since leaving the show, she’s become a mom – after giving birth to her son River in 2020. He’s almost two years old now, with her chronicling their lives on Instagram.

This includes advocating for “body neutrality”, with her latest post sparking praise for its empowering message, with her telling fans that “never let your rainbow be dull to anyone.”

She shared a video of herself on Instagram earlier, which received much praise from fans

The post features a video in which she is seen in a striped t-shirt and jeans, before undressing to reveal a bra underneath – she then takes this off to show a top other chest.

The actor is said to have stripped off a series of colorful bras until she left her topless, covering her breasts with her hands. She was smiling for the camera during the reveal.

The video was posted early this morning with the song “She’s A Rainbow” released by the Rolling Stones ‘album of 1967.

Alongside the clip, Melissa encouraged her followers to embrace herself, writing with the caption: “She’s like a rainbow. Never let your rainbow be dull for ANYONE. “

She added in the post: “No matter what anyone says, does, how they make you feel – shine, take the place, because you are here, you matter and you are loved.”

The post received nearly 2,000 likes, with many fans joining the comments section in response to the video – one follower described Melissa as an “inspirational person”.

They wrote in their comments: “I absolutely love this. You are amazing. I am so glad to have inspirational people like you around especially on social media.”

Another fan said: “Thank you guys. I’ve been really insecure about my body ever since [my] second baby and tried so hard to hug my big hanging belly but it was too hard. “

Melissa appeared as the character Lucy on EastEnders from 2004 to 2010. Hetti Bywater27 years old, then took on the role, playing the character until her death in 2015.
