On tonight’s episode, Phil revealed the information deal to his ex Sharon after she realized something was amiss.

She tried to convince him to make the deal and talk to Kat – but he refused and doubled down on breaking up with Kat.

But as he sat in the Square, Phil turned to look at Vic and heard his late mother’s voice.

“Phil, you have to get out there and protect what’s yours,” says Peggy.

“You are surrounded by people who love you, so try to love yourself.”

Then his brother Grant’s voice said, “You should have come to me and I’ve awakened some feeling in you and made you feel a little better.”

As he listened to his family’s voice, he was knocked out of it by Sharon’s voice.

“You are ready to lose everything that is important to you because of some old principles that mean nothing,” she says.

“You’ve got two generations relying on you – they need you. Let’s deal.

“It was always your stupid pride, wasn’t it? You won’t do this deal because you can’t stand the thought of the old bill winning. Don’t worry because when you’re alone in your cold cell knowing you’ve lost everything, you’ll have pride to comfort you.

“If you don’t listen to me, you probably will listen to Kat.

“You really think I’m going to stand by and let you throw your life away. You tell Kat or I will. ”

But fans are emotional about Peggy’s words – and Grant’s – and want Grant back to Walford to reunite with his brother.

One person wrote: “I wasn’t expecting to hear Peggy and Grant tonight. That brought an unexpected tear.”

A second said: “It was great to hear Peggy and give the voiceover on tonight’s episode of EastEnders #EastEnders. It must have been a good time to bring in the pension but Sharon told him what was going on. “

Another added: “That Peggy dub reminded me how much I miss the Mitchell women, they really would hit him like he deserves.”
