And friends say the craftsman laid the foundations for a lasting union by moving in just a few weeks after a romantic break abroad.

A source said: “It’s like a soap opera – a classic Kat escape. Jessie seems to be on the moon.”

The pair have been spotted close in Muswell Hill, the tree-lined north London suburb where Jessie lives.

Our snapshot shows her man wearing a warm shirt with the yellow logo of drill maker DeWalt, and painted trousers with utility pockets.

Jessie, 50, donned a pair of designer sunglasses to enjoy a ride in the mysterious man’s white Transit – complete with fitted ladders on the roof.

And in turn, the builder is seen filming in Jessie’s Range Rover Evoque.

The soap star regularly posts updates about her life on social networks, but so far has not mentioned her mistress.

News of the unexpected union comes just a fortnight after Jessie was pictured sipping champagne in the spring sunshine before being loaded into a car in London.

There was no sign of her new friend on that occasion.

Sources say the soap-lover will be hoping she’s finally hit a romantic manicure on her head after a string of odd jobs.

Jessie was dating Majorca-based millionaire Paul Whitworth – once jailed for fraud – when she was cast in the BBC drama in 2000.

The couple broke up when she became famous and she went on to have a relationship with American Andy Burton.

He then shames her with revelations about the kiss and tells.

Jessie also dated police officer Dave Morgan, whom she met after being arrested for driving in 2003.

They moved in together but split shortly after their daughter Tallulah, now 17, was born.

Jessie plans to marry food service boss Vince Morse in 2011.

But she called off their reported £300,000 wedding just hours before they wed after discovering he had sent explicit photos of her to his ex-girlfriend.

And in 2016, Jessie broke up with musician Tim Arnold after a 4-year love affair.

Her most recent known boyfriend was Paul Kempin, but the couple called it a date in 2019 after two years together.

On the screen, Kat has experienced many such love affairs. She is famously married to Alfie Moon, played by Shane Richie, and is currently with Phil Mitchell, the actor who goes by the alias Steve McFadden.
