EastEnders’ Harvey Monroe has a tumultuous week in store on the BBC next week, when he receives the horrifying news of his son Aaron Monroe.

Aaron (Charlie Wernham) is in jail in EastEnders for far-right activism and violent behavior, after his father Harvey (Ross Boatman) turns him over to the police.

After initially saying he would no longer visit his son in prison, Harvey refused and went to see his son behind bars.

On one occasion, Harvey and Dana (Barbara Smith) are disappointed when Aaron abruptly cancels a visit, only to find out that he has been brutally beaten.

Harvey wanted to say something to the prison officers, but Aaron begged him not to, leaving father Harvey wondering what might have happened to his son.

Since then, Harvey has been threatened by far-right gang leader Neil (Thomas Coombes) that he will be a dead man if he doesn’t take the phone recording Aaron to jail.

With Neil’s ominous threat stalking him, Harvey struggles with the task of getting the phone into prison.

BBC reveal experts have now revealed that Harvey will be shocked next week when he receives a disturbing phone call.

He learned that his son Aaron was seriously injured and is currently being treated at the hospital.

Seeing his condition, Stacey assists Harvey at the hospital and the two talk about Jean’s (Gillian Wright) manic episodes, with his daughter Stacey trying to convince him that Jean is unwell, begging him. Let’s not marry her.

In later scenes, Harvey is stunned by Jean’s nonchalant attitude as he tells her that Aaron’s life is hanging in the balance.

When Harvey begins to realize Jean might be unwell, he tells her they need to slow down their relationship because Aaron is his focus at the moment.

In later scenes on the soap, Jean angrily snaps back at Slaters, but remains determined to walk down the aisle, even after Harvey has pulled the plug.

As the situation turns tense, Stacey panics when she hears that Billy spotted Jean in her wedding dress, announcing she’s getting married today.

Jean went to the beach by herself and when she got there she was having a great time at first, enjoying the comments about her beautiful wedding dress from strangers when she visited a fair.

But Stacey and Martin head to Southend to find her – only to arrive and find Jean running towards the sea in her fairy-tale white dress.

Will Stacey be able to get her mother to safety at sea and get the support she needs?

EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays at 8pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One.
