EastEnders: Sam Mitchell goes back to see Phil in prison
EastEnders viewers are anticipating Chrissie Watts’ big return to the BBC, following a tweet by actress Tracy-Ann Oberman.
Tracy-Ann played Den Watts’ wife from 2004 to 2005, until the character murdered him.
Chrissie left the soap when she was finally arrested for the crime, having framed Sam Mitchell – who was involved in his death, along with Zoe Slater.
The trio were dubbed the Wizards of Walford after the dramatic scenes that saw them confront the evil Den, which resulted in his violent death.
Years passed, and actress Kim Medcalf, who played Sam back then, returned to The Square for a storyline involving her on-screen brother Phil Mitchell.

Many viewers shared the hope of a reunion between the two ladies, believing that the business between Sam and Chrissie was still unfinished.
Now, a tweet by Tracy-Ann has led many viewers to hope this could finally happen and Chrissie might appear again on BBC radio.
She was spotted sending a message to new EastEnders producer Chris Clenshaw, asking to follow back on the social media platform.

It read: “Hi Chris, can you give me a track,” and this immediately led to speculation that she might return to the show.
Following that tweet was her teasing that she was filming for something, as she wrote: “Ooh I love a nightshoot #filming.”
Sharing their thoughts, excited fans took to Twitter with their reactions – and everyone said the same thing.

While it’s not known exactly what Tracy-Ann wanted to discuss with producer Chris, EastEnders audiences came to believe it had to be about the soap and nothing else.
One user responded to the tweet, simply saying: “omg omg omg omg omg – Yes yes yes yes …”
Another tweeted: “Omg please let the queen chrissie watts come back,” as a third user added: “It’s happening.”
