EastEnders fans rejoiced on Thursday night, when soaping justice for Chantelle Atkins, Tina Carter and Kush Kazemi, who were all murdered at the hands of the evil Gray Atkins.

Gray finally faced his appearance in a tense episode on Thursday night, which has seen the BBC drama perform at its best.

Viewers stood on the edge of their seats, as they watched Gray face off against a number of residents, with twists and turns at every corner.

His attempt to escape from Walford puts his life in jeopardy, before a dramatic conclusion reveals that Whitney Dean and Mitch Baker have finally ended Grey’s reign of terror.

At the beginning of the episode, Gray attempted to kill his wife Chelsea Fox after discovering she had called the police on him, and recorded him confessing to murdering his ex-wife Chantelle.

When the villain visits Karen, Chantelle’s mother, to collect his children and run away for good, she realizes the truth about her daughter’s death and stops him from capturing the children.

When he also went looking for her, she managed to notify the police that he was there, leading to Gray once again running away – with him ending up at The Queen Vic.

This time, Tina’s sister Shirley is ready to kill him for revenge, with her repeatedly attacking him and plotting to kill him.

After she is stopped by her son Mick, disaster strikes when Gray attacks her and injures her – leaving her to fight for her life.

But it was Whitney who decided to end it all, and when she saw Gray walk out of Walford, she alerted the police and gave chase.

The pair ended up on the railway bridge above the market, with her telling him he had nowhere to go and it was over.

She then suggests his only way out is to jump off the bridge, but tells him he needs to face justice – only when Gray suddenly jumps off in an attempt to take his life. me and escape a life behind bars.

Gray begins to taunt her that unless she lets go, they will both die before telling her that he killed Kush.

When Whitney broke down, he told her every detail and told her that she should let him die for revenge, but Whitney stubbornly clung to the railing and refused to let him go.

Just as if Gray was going to fall, Mitch appears and grabs him and helps Whitney pull him back to the bridge.

Gray is stunned when Mitch learns he killed his daughter Chantelle, but Mitch clearly wants justice for his family like Whitney did.

Then, police escorted Gray to the station, handcuffed and put into a car when Walford residents witnessed in shock.

As the episode ended, justice was finally done, or at least it looked like it would, as Gray was kicked out of Walford for good reason.

Some viewers had predicted Gray would be killed and maybe the soap would air, while others agreed Gray going to jail would be the only suitable ending to the long-running storyline.
