Eastern Road outside the Royal Sussex County Hospital has been closed

THE road in front of the city’s main hospital will be closed for most of the weekend due to development work on the building.

The closure of the Eastern Road outside the Royal Sussex County Hospital began at 7pm yesterday and will end at 8pm tomorrow, Sunday 10 July.

A crane will work on part of the hospital.

Eastern Road is closed between Sudeley Place and Paston Place.

The roads in the area have relatively little traffic.

Compass Travel routes 37 and 37B will be diverted via Paston Place towards Bristol Estate.

Whilst services to the city center will be diverted via Eaton Place and St George’s Road.

Brighton and Hove Buses take a similar detour.
