EASYJET has announced the launch of a new route from Gatwick Airport to a small holiday island.
Flights from Sussex to Porto Santo, a Portuguese island northeast of Madeira, are scheduled to begin on November 2.
Seats are available from £32.99 per person and weekly flights depart every Wednesday and Saturday.
EasyJet UK manager Ali Gayward said the new route will give customers in the South East more choice when choosing a winter holiday in the sun.
“We’re delighted to add a new route from London Gatwick this winter, giving our customers more choice to enjoy an even wider range of destinations at fantastically low fares across our unrivaled European network,” she said.
Known for its warm waters, diving spots and long sandy beach, Porto Santo is described as the ideal destination for holidaymakers looking for some winter sun.
