Ed Sheehan proved he has both money and taste by spending a whopping sum of money to snag an eyebrow-raising artwork.

The 31-year-old millionaire musician seems determined to spend as much money as possible – with his almost village-sized house, adjoining pub and huge property.

Now the star has turned his attention to the art world and is said to have snapped up a painting that features a giant drawing of the c-word.

The attention-grabbing piece is by 58-year-old Yorkshire artist Harland Miller, who is also a novelist and known to create giant canvases with fake penguin book covers.

The sun on Sunday reports that Ed’s recent purchase cost a staggering £50,000 – although that’s not much compared to Ed’s estimated £150m fortune – and takes pride of place in his local pub.

The star told the publication: “I’m into lewd stuff. I have a huge painting in my pub that just says “Pipe Down C***”.

“It’s by Harland Miller (a contemporary artist and writer) who does covers for Penguin books, and I have another one of his that’s just a little bit more PG.”

In the meantime, it sounds like Ed is far from done making plans to make more money for himself.

The father-of-one is reportedly planning to set up a residency at a UK music venue where fans can travel to see him perform – with the star expecting the venue to sell out over a five-year period.

Ed, who has 18-month-old daughter Lyra Antarctica with his wife Cherry Seaborn, will be taking his family with him when he tours Australia next year.

He told The Mirror: “I don’t think I would go on tour if they couldn’t come with me. I don’t want to miss any milestones.

“I saw her first steps and heard her first words. And it’s quite wearable…”

But after that, he plans to keep the family unit in one place. “I’d like to book a theater in London and say, ‘I’m going to play here three times a week for the next five years.'”

The star also explained that he’d rather live in the UK than Las Vegas, where most of the big stars perform night after night and amass millions.

He said, “Every time I play Vegas, it’s like you’re the warm-up for their night.

“It’s just people who later go to a club. Nobody listens, they’re just there to get mad.”

UK residencies are rarer – but can still see stars raking in millions.

Back in 2009, Michael Jackson announced he was taking over the O2 Arena in London for a 10-concert residency that would net him £50m.

However, he died before the shows started – died on June 25 this year at the age of 50, just three weeks before the shows were due to start.
