EDDIE HEARN will ‘like’ promote the fight between Jake Paul and Tony Bellew.
And he admitted the thought of Paul ‘cutting his chin would be fun’ to watch.
Hearn told DAZN: “I really want to promote it.
“Anytime you can promote a fight where you can see Jake Paul go butt it’s going to be fun.
“Jake Paul just rubs people the wrong way, but I like what he’s doing.
“People who have given so much to boxing, physically, emotionally and mentally, will find what he said offensive.
“I just laughed, but for someone like Tony, who has dedicated his life to sports, it just doesn’t suit those people.
“Hopefully, they can bump into each other, and we can see what happens.”
Bellew, 39, attacked Paul online, after the YouTuber’s winner claimed he was ‘bring the sport of boxing’.
And former cruiser class champion slam Americans for having lost to a professional boxer in his career 5-0 so far.
Bellew, who retired in 2018, said: “First of all, I don’t have any hate or malice towards Jake Paul, go ahead, do what you’re doing, it’s great.
“But whatever shape or form you take, you can claim my sport that you’re an absolute puppet, he hasn’t even fought a boxer.
“So how can you claim to be carrying the sport when you haven’t played against someone from my sport, unbelievable!
“I don’t like it being labeled a boxing match because he’s not facing a boxer.”
Tommy Fury, 22, is considered Paul’s first opponent with prior professional boxing experience.
Anytime you can promote a fight where you can see Jake Paul get gored it’s going to be fun.
But Fury was forced to retreat with a broken ribs and bacterial chest infections, with Tyron Woodley’s replacement.
Paul, 24, had beaten Woodley, 39, just four months earlier in points, but knocked out the former UFC champion in the sixth round in their rematch.
It added to KO’s more than YouTuber ‘AnEsonGib’, former NBA player Nate Robinson, 37, and retired UFC heavyweight Ben Askren, 37.
But none of them were fighters, Bellew urged Paul to take on UFC legend Anderson Silva, 46, who is at least have a record of 2-1 in the ring.
He said: “If he really wants to fight a boxer, I can tell you someone he can go up against, Anderson Silva.
“Anderson Silva is an MMA guy, so he’s not a traditional fighter, but, he beat a boxer and he didn’t just beat any boxer, he beat a boxer, he beat a boxer. beat former world champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.
“Facing someone like him we can listen to you talk about being a boxer, but until you face a boxer you can’t say you’re a boxer. boxer and the last thing you need to do is say you’re carrying my sport.”
