British Vogue editor-in-chief Edward Enninful has released a short film starring some of his famous friends to celebrate the release of his new memoir.
eating Moss, Daniel Kaluuya and Sienna Miller are among the stars on the project, reading excerpts from his book A Visible Man while wearing a black suit and white shirt paired with glasses his characteristic.
The three-minute film, created by Enninful’s husband Alec Maxwell and his company Kloss Films, recounts key moments in the 50-year-old’s life and his journey in the global fashion industry. .
Evaluating the project, Enninful said: “It was a pleasure to work on this film with Alec Kloss Films and his amazing team.
“It is an honor to have so many close friends and supporters involved in this project, commemorating my memoir, and I am so grateful to everyone who has participated.
“My message is about inclusion and representation and I hope my film and memoir inspire everyone to open the door and step through.”
Also among the friends, supporters, and key participants in the memoir who featured in the short film were Jourdan Dunn, Gemma Chan, Maya Jama and Tilda Swinton.
They star Joel Edgerton, Simone Ashley, Omari Douglas and others.
Enninful’s memoir recounts his life growing up in Ghana to become the first black editor of British Vogue.
He became interested in fashion as a teenager after being cast as a fashion model and he was the youngest fashion magazine editor in the industry when he took on the role of iD’s fashion director. in 1991.

In 2016 he received an OBE for his services to diversity in the fashion industry and in 2017 he took over from Alexandra Shulman at the helm of British Vogue.
Maxwell, his husband, added: “This film tells the story of my husband, Edward Enninful.
“I wanted to hint at his bravery and humor and recommend it as a trailer for his book, A Visible Man, narrated by some of those closest to him.
“Edward wrote the book during the lockdown, right under my nose. I’ve known a lot of stories, but not all, so this whole thing feels very personal.
“This book, this movie and all the people who have come together to bring this to life.”
