EE launches augmented reality glasses so you can watch TV on a private virtual screen that no one else can see

It will launch exclusively with EE later in the spring.

An air casting mode allows the wearer to mirror their phone screen onto a virtual 130-inch HD display from up to six meters away.

And with MR Space mode, enter mixed reality territory where you can move around multiple screens before your eyes.

Users can position multiple virtual screens up to 201 inches in size in a 3D space.

The sunglass-inspired wearable features nose pads for comfort and open-ear speakers.

And those who already wear corrective glasses will not miss out.

If required, Nreal Air can be equipped with a lens frame for the individual correction lenses.

The exact prices are being kept under wraps for the time being.

Peng Jin, co-founder of Nreal, said the technology will “start a revolutionary transformation” just like the internet once did, changing the way we watch videos, exercise and play video games.

EE’s Alistair Wilson added, “We partner with the best content providers and the most innovative technology companies in the world to create entirely new experiences for our customers.
