eFootball 2022 Patch Notes: Bug Fixes

ALTHOUGH the game doesn’t have the best reputation, eFootball 2022 still gets regular updates.

The successor to the Pro-Evo Soccer or PES series, eFootball 2022 has not been welcomed by fans.

Critics have only given eFootball a 25 out of 100 on Metacritic, and users have given it a 1.3 out of 10, making it quite a disaster.

That hasn’t stopped the Konami team from working on improving the game, however, and the latest update has fixed a whole bunch of bugs that have been around for a while.

We give you an overview of the most important fixes and what the players think of them.

The main fix is something that caused the game to crash for an unknown reason.

While we don’t know exactly what the problem was, this fix is undoubtedly a good thing.

Goalkeepers can no longer be assigned to participate, which was previously possible through skillful control.

Players no longer occasionally sink into the ground during a goal celebration, which looked very strange when it happened.

In addition, loading times have been reduced, especially on the Xbox One and PS4 versions, which could be particularly bad at times.

Fan reaction to this patch was mixed. Some on the game’s subreddit have claimed that their experience has improved, while others deny any noticeable change.

The biggest complaint is the lack of significant gameplay changes, especially from those who aren’t feeling the impact of this patch’s fixes.

At this point, nearly a year after release, it seems unlikely that opinion on this game will turn around. It’s not impossible though, it’s been done before by games like No Man’s Sky.

Although the time that a new annual release would fit in is fast approaching, there has been no news as to what Konami plans to do with eFootball or PES in the future.

If you want to read the full patch notes, you can do so on the official eFootball website.
