The London club have extended their contract with the game beyond the 2022/23 season and will remain one of eFootball’s core teams.

The game will also feature a large number of Arsenal items such as club kits, the Emirates Stadium and headrests.

Arsenal’s players were also scanned into eFootball in order to represent the team as realistically as possible.

Konami European President Naoki Morita was pleased to announce the continuation of the agreement.

In a statement, he said: “It is very exciting to announce an extension of such a successful partnership.

“Arsenal is a massive club and has been a central part of our partnership list over the last few years.

“Having secured a long-term future that will include a variety of commercial, image and esports rights and activations is fantastic for KonamiI and for the eFootball series, which continues to grow, and we aspire to liberate football.”

Arsenal’s Chief Commercial Officer Juliet Slot was also delighted with the deal.

She said, “Konami’s eFootball offers a unique football experience.

“We are proud to extend our partnership and give our fans the opportunity to immerse themselves in an authentic Arsenal experience.”

Konami recently acquired the rights to a number of teams including AC Milan and Bayern Munich in hopes of boosting its free-to-play soccer game.

FIFA remains the most popular soccer game in the world, although its rival is totally free to dive in and have fun.

Ahead of Arsenal, Konami announced that it had partnered with the French national team to include their likeness in eFootball.

That includes Kylian Mbappé, France’s star striker and FIFA cover star for three years in a row.
