Elden Ring invader steals Dark Moon’s Great Sword in heart-stopping video

Elden Ring can be an extremely punishing game for those caught unaware of the danger around them, and that’s especially true when it comes to PvP invasions. Just because you have a summoned friend by your side, doesn’t mean you’re safe from bad luck.
A video released on Twitter today proves much, as an invader runs up to a pair of players trading items and steal some extremely valuable loot on the ground. This includes a nearly fully upgraded Sacred Relic Sword and the Dark Moon Greatsword.
Video, created by twitter user ShikasClouds and embedded underneath, making for an absolutely terrible watch. The relic sword is a rough loss, yes. But the stolen Dark Moon Greatsword is especially heart-pounding, as this weapon can only be picked up once per playthrough. This means that the victims of this theft are forced to either enter a new game+, or start a completely new save file, to get it back.
I just did the ALL best thing you can imagine doing on the Elden Ring. I AM THE ENTIRE VILLA! HOLY SH! WHAT DO I DO? pic.twitter.com/pw3FZBkFQL

It makes for a great watch, but it’s also a valuable lesson learned for not only the players featured in the clip but also those of us who are comfortable admiring after the game. If you’re making a daring trade through the summoning system in the Elden Ring and are invaded, pick up your items quickly! Worst case, summon your buddy again, but don’t risk losing your precious cargo.
