Margit’s Shackle is an item you can find in Elden Ring that facilitates the difficult Margit the Fell Omen boss fight. The item appears to be good for a lot more, however, as it can apparently help you discover hidden illusory walls and stop fire-breathing traps.
As reported by GamesRadar, Margit’s Shackle can stop Margit the Fell Omen for a few seconds when activated, but its usefulness doesn’t end once this large foe has been felled.
NateThePunk2 on Reddit is one of those who discovered that it can also cause a nearby hidden wall to disappear.
One running theory is that the item emits some sort of invisible shockwave that stuns Margit the Fell Omen when within a certain range. The same shockwave appears to propagate from the player, revealing illusory walls and stopping fire-breathing traps.
Margit’s Shackle can be obtained while in Patch’s questline, and it’s especially helpful when Margit, the game’s first major boss, proves too much of a challenge.
