A new one Elden Ring The patch – bringing the game to version 1.03, which is available to download and install now – introduced a set of changes to the game that could change your experience quite a bit.
One of the title changes in the patch is the introduction of NPC markers, which you can see on the game’s minimal (and rather useless) map. In the past, it’s been easy to lose track of the various quests you’ll be taking on in the world – even prompting us to create a series of Elden Ring tutorials to help you out. However, according to the new patch, it will be a bit less confusing for players eager to chase NPCs and move on with their various storylines.
Interestingly, the update also added a new character to the game, named Jar-Bair. Will this lead to some kind of Elden Ring DLC? It remains to be seen. Since FromSoft wants to put the game on more projects, the developers should start seeding new content now, right?
The update also adds new quest stages for Diallos, Nepheli Loux, Kenneth Haight, and Gatekeeper Gostoc. Finishing staff, take note.
A few Wizards have been buffed, which was an interesting choice when some players thought they were overpowered. You’ll find various spells that now cost less FP and deal more damage. Time to let that construction magic run, huh?
If you’ve relied on summons to help you in boss battles, you’ll be truly devastated to learn that FromSoft has applied a fix for a helpful little bug. According to the patch notes, the studio “fixed a bug that prevented summoned NPCs from taking damage during certain boss battles”. Additionally, FromSoft noted that it “reduced the damage of spirits summoned when using the Mimic Tear Ash item” and “changed the spirit’s behavior pattern”. RIP into a reality.
Also, once you have the new patch installed, you may experience fewer bugs and glitches. Most notably, scaling has been fixed on some faulty weapons – meaning they should work properly with your attributes now.
