With just a week to go before Electric Picnic returns to Co Laois, many people will start packing and planning their weekend events.
tradbally Estate will open its doors on Friday, September 2 and welcome back festivalgoers for Ireland’s biggest music and arts event.
Here’s everything you need to know if you’re heading to the festival.
How can I get there?
TravelMaster will run round-trip service nationwide for Electric Picnic from September 1 to 4.
Marathon Coach will run coach services in Dublin city center from Custom House 407 and North wall Quay bus stops in Dublin to and from Stradbally.
Irish Concert Travel has scheduled a return trip nationwide on September 2, with a return cruise on September 5.
Martley’s will operate a shuttle bus service from Portlaoise train station to Stradbally, which is cash only.
Buses To Concerts will run coaches to the festival from Belfast, Lisburn, Banbridge, Newry, Dundalk and Drogheda.
Is there any parking space?
Free parking is available at Electric Picnic. There is parking for yellow, red and blue cars.
The green parking lot is open from 4pm on Thursdays only for early entry ticket holders. The red and yellow parking lots are open from 9 a.m. Friday to 1 p.m. Monday.

Parking is staffed 24 hours a day during this time.
All attendees traveling to the event by car must park in the parking lot where they are directed by event staff and event staff.
Who is playing?
This year’s weekend celebrities included Dermot Kennedy and Megan Thee Stallion on Friday. Tame Impala and Visuals This will take to the stage on Saturday while the Arctic Monkeys and Snow Patrol will showcase on Sunday.
Some of the big names that have been announced include Anne-Marie, The Coronas, Becky Hill, James Vincent McMorrow and The Academic.
Other additions include Moncrieff, Hermitage Green, Lea Heart, Hudson Taylor, Le Boom, Kneecap and Gemma Dunleavy.
Add to the comedy lineup including Vogue Williams and Joanne McNally’s My therapist has demonized me podcast and a series from The 2 Johnnies.
RTÉ 2FM’s DJ Tara Kumar will hit the Casa Bacardí stage at 7pm while Irish electronic music duo Boots & Kats will make headlines at 9:30pm.
What are the opening times of the campground?
Shared camping will open at 4pm on Thursday, September 1 for early entry ticket holders only, who have a valid weekend camping ticket.
Shared camping for weekend ticket holders opens at 9 a.m. on Friday, September 2 and closes at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 5.
The campsite will be staffed 24/24 and you can come at any time during this time. Festival-goers cannot drive into the campsites at any time.
There is a welfare tent located next to the First Aid Site in the Jimi Hendrix Campground that is open 24 hours a day and staffed by “experienced and supportive people who know the festival well”.
What food and drink will be available?
There will be free drinking water points throughout the campsites and arenas and you can find these next to the toilet block.
There will be over 100 food stalls throughout the festival, offering something for everyone.
From EP’s favorite cheeseburgers to freshly made pizzas, including vegan and vegetarian options, there’s something to suit all tastes.
All bars will only operate contactless payments.
ATMs will be located at the Main Arena and open on Fridays (2pm-2am), Saturday (11am-2am) and Sunday (11am-2am) .
