Elizabeth Olsen wants to work with Benedict Cumberbatch in a “non-Marvel way”.

Elizabeth Olsen has praised her Doctor Strange co-star Benedict Cumberbatch as “one of the greatest actors ever” and added that she would love to have “another, more exhilarating experience” working with him.
The actress reprises her role as Marvel sorceress Wanda Maximoff, aka Scarlet Witch, in the Doctor Strange sequel – the 28th film set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The 33-year-old stars in Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness alongside British actor Cumberbatch, who recently received a Best Actor nomination at the Oscars for his role in the psychological drama The Power Of The Dog.
The Marvel film follows Cumberbatch’s superhero wizard as he deals with the aftermath of a spell he cast that opened the world to the multiverse.
Harper’s Bazaar cover star Olsen told the magazine, “He’s one of the biggest actors right now and I wanted to see his trial.
“I’m hoping to work with him in a non-Marvel way as well, because I’d really like to have a different, more exhilarating experience with him.”
Speaking about her role in the superhero film, Olsen said it was “so much fun” because she’s been playing a struggling character for years.
“Now for the first time she has clarity, she knows exactly what she wants and she doesn’t want to apologize for that,” she said.

“I think there’s a femininity that comes with that – a strength to feel totally empowered.
“I love playing characters whose actions people don’t agree with. In a world where we don’t really care about understanding other viewpoints, it’s a good thing if we, as an audience, can have empathy for people we disagree with. “
The actress is the younger sister of twins Mary-Kate and Ashley, former child stars who rose to fame on the TV series Full House.
She said: “I’ve always felt that presence (their sisters’ success), which made me want to work harder and maybe have a chip on my shoulder to be over-prepared and disciplined so I felt like I was really going to deserve it.
“I always knew it was what I wanted to do, I just had a lot of insecurities about wanting to do it.”
Olsen added that being the younger sibling of twins is an “amazing feeling”.
“When I was spoiled by one, the other wanted to keep up. I loved it,” she said.
– Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness hits UK cinemas on May 5th.
