Singer Ellie Goulding, TV star Alex Brooker and host Gok Wan were among the stars who read CBeebies bedtime stories for Comic Relief.
New celebrities will read five new stories over the course of next week, starting with The Last Leg star Brooker on Monday, March 14, who will read Nadia Shireen’s Barbara Throws a Wobbler, the comedic tale of a kitten named Barbara, who was in a very bad mood.
On Tuesday, Goulding will read Linzie Hunter’s What If, Pig while comedian Josh Widdicombe will appear on Wednesday reading Alan’s Big, Jarvis’ Scary Teeth, about a very large alligator with a very secret great.
Wan will read Swapna Haddow’s My Mum is a Lioness on Thursday, while host Sue Perkins will close the week on Friday reading Jodie Lancet-Grant’s The Pirate Mums.
A horrifying story about mothers who save their children during a day at sea.
The stories will air nightly at 6.50pm on CBeebies and BBC iPlayer.
Last month, the Duchess of Cambridge launched bedtime stories to share a book she loved as a little girl.

Kate described Jill Tomlinson’s children’s classic The Owl Who A Fear Of The Dark as an “encouraging story” during her book’s narrative to mark Mental Health Week Child God.
Illustrated by Belfast artist Paul Howard, the book tells the story of an owl in Plop’s cage, helped by others to develop his confidence and overcome his fears.
Other stars who have recently read children’s stories on CBeebies include Reese Witherspoon, Tom Hardy and Ed Sheeran.
