Ellie Taylor admits she couldn’t believe she performed 10 dances live on TV after telling herself she couldn’t dance her whole life.
Actress Ted Lasso, 38, became the ninth celebrity to be dropped from Sunday’s Strictly Come Dancing after an intense dance with singer-DJ Fleur East.
Appearing in the second episode of the It Takes Two sideshow, the manga becomes emotional as she looks back at the highlights of her time in the dance competition.
She confirmed that they were in tears of joy, explaining: “You just look back at all the work we’ve done and I can’t believe I’ve done 10 dances live on television, and I’ve been telling myself all my life that I can’t dance and to see that, oh, it’s really cool.”
During Saturday’s live show, Taylor performed a Thelma & Louise-themed dance for Van Morrison’s Brown Eyed Girl with her professional partner Johannes Radebe, but they had trouble getting it right. Impress the judges and get a score of 25.
After they went through the process in the results display again, the judges unanimously decided to save East and her partner Vito Coppola, sending Taylor and Radebe to pack up.
Taylor said she enjoyed the jive because she liked an upbeat dance, but admitted that she found it very technical.
I feel the worst I think I’ve ever felt. I don’t know if it’s the stress at week 10 or just too many messy steps,” she added.
“It was really fun and I’m so proud of the dance. The dance was better than our actual dance and I’m glad we got home well.
This weekend was the first time the actress broke into the top two, but she admitted she was “always more surprised to be (safe) than not”.

Her partner Radebe joked that his highlight on the series was that he didn’t need to contact his therapist, which he said was down to Taylor.
“I love every moment with you, I really have. So the best part of my season this year was this woman, thank you,” he said.
He added that he feels Taylor has come a “long way” in catching up to the paces faster and that he can see her enjoying her workouts more each week.
Thinking about who they wanted to win the contest, Taylor chose TV presenter Helen Skelton.
She said: “I think there are still some great people, but I really like Helen. She’s my best friend and I think it’s going to be a great end of the year for her.
“She worked really hard and she really blossomed, and I enjoyed watching her.”
