Elon Musk’s ex-wife, Justine, has been very thoughtful in her thoughts about their transgender daughter being legally required to change her gender.

Yesterday, it was reported that the 18-year-old twin girl filed a petition asking the Los Angeles County Superior Court to change her name to reflect her new gender identity.

This girl hopes to legally be Vivian Jenna Wilson – taking her mother’s maiden name. She was previously known as Xavier Alexander Musk.

The reason cited in the paperwork states: “Gender identity and the fact that I no longer live with or desire to be related to my biological father in any way.”

Elon and Justine were together from 2000 to 2008

Meanwhile, speaking on social media on Tuesday, Justine – who also shares twin son Griffin and triplets with Kai, Saxon and Damian with the world’s richest man – broadcast an interview chat she had with one of the twins.

“I had a weird childhood,” my 18-year-old told me. “I can’t believe I seem as normal as I am.

“I said ‘I’m so proud of you. I’m proud of myself!'”

One follower responded: “Mom to mom: You’re a great mom! You both can be proud of yourselves.”

Another added: “We’ve been on this journey for a while with our son. I know how meaningful and positive it is for your kid to feel at home in his own body. and they’re people on a basic level. No money, fame or achievement means much more. Wishing you both the best.”

Others were less positive, however, with one user commenting: “Men’s brains aren’t fully developed until the age of 25, especially the frontal lobes that control reason and control impulses. Too many people regret the decisions they made when they were young. I urge you to encourage your children to wait until after the age of 25 to make any lasting decisions.”

Another said: “This kid can make a permanent decision because he has some issues with his father that he needs to deal with. Find the root of the problem instead of trying to fix the wound. superficially.”

The 18-year-old girl’s hearing will take place in Santa Monica, California on Friday (June 24).
