Baz Luhrmann’s new biopic about Rock King Elvis Presley has been well received by fans, who are excited to see Austin Butler play the iconic role and Tom Hanks play the Colonel.

His biopic, simply titled Elvis, is set to chronicle the life and career of the King of Rock and Roll, with the legendary singer being played by Austin Butler.
Oscar winner Tom Hanks takes on the iconic star’s colorful manager, Colonel Tom Parker, while Olivia DeJonge plays Elvis Priscilla Presley’s much-loved wife.
The trailer left fans shaken as they flocked to social media after seeing the film for the first time on Thursday.
One Twitter user wrote: “Omg – ELVIS treated with #BazLuhrmann. Definitely amazing!”
Another agreed, saying: “No words. Well, one word. IT’S AMAZING! So much love for this trailer. Maybe. No. Wait.”
And the third paragraph reads: “LOVE IT!!! It was perfect!! Also, the trailer gave me goose bumps and tears in my eyes. I’ve been an Elvis fan for life and this movie promises to make me smile. It will be something really special.
“The king deserves to tell his beautiful story and I’m glad you’re telling it.”
A fourth fan was also positive about the all-star lineup, simply commenting: “Elvis and Tom Hanks. Great combination.”

And their thoughts were echoed by another, who said: “Great. Can’t wait. I think the cast is great. Especially Tom Hanks as the Colonel. @ElvisPresley #Elvis “
The story will delve into the complex dynamics between Presley and Parker spanning more than 20 years.
The new trailer begins with Hanks’ character Parker recounting and saying, “There were some people who made me the villain of the story here.”
That’s when Butler as Elvis appeared before the years passed and the rocker was seen as a child.
The catchy trailer shows the Suspicious Minds singer’s meteoric rise to prominence, as well as clips of the tougher times of his rise to fame.
The film also shows Butler singing some of Elvis’s earlier songs in an impressive way by himself.
Speaking recently about portraying such an icon and learning to sing like a star, Butler recently said at a press event:[It’s] Giant shoes to fill.
