A technical test for Ember Sword takes place in April. The Bright Star Studios team is driving development forward in 2022, and pre-alpha technical testing is a big part of that.
The scheduled dates for the pre-alpha technical tests are April 4th-8th, April 18th-19th and April 25th. The technical test is a pre-alpha stress test, so there will be a limited area for play and testing, but it gives players a chance to get a taste of what’s to come. Meanwhile, they load the servers and give the developers feedback and data they need.
The exams are open to all property owners and badge holders. This includes those who bought their land or badges directly through Bright Star or through the secondary market. The tests also mean that the next land sale will be delayed due to these planned tests.
One of the things they repeat is that Ember Sword is designed as a game first with crypto second. In their description, they twist the recently popular expression “play to earn” to play and where the MMORPG comes first, and the combination can be rewarding for those who want it.
There will be a full blog post on March 21st with all the details on the testing, but for now we know the testing is coming. On April 4th there will be a live stream showing the build for everyone, so even those who haven’t invested yet can get a feel for what’s already in place and how things are going to play out.
Following these technical tests, we expect more news on when the next land sale will take place, as well as what you learn from these tests that will impact that, and moving forward to Alpha.
See the announcement details over on the Ember Sword Discord.
