EMERGENCY services conducted an overnight search to find a “vulnerable” missing person.
Sussex Police and the Newhaven RNLI were called to a location near Eastbourne just before midnight last night.
The person was found safe.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: “The RNLI has assisted us in locating a missing person who was safe.
“Whatever you are going through, ministries like Samaritans will be ready to face those challenges with you and hopefully help you see those challenges in a different light.
“These services are open day and night all year round.”
An RNLI spokeswoman said: “Newhaven has been tasked to search for a high-risk missing person.
“The crew found no one in their search and have returned to the station.”
