Emmerdale fans confused as Meena Jutla’s rib injury ‘switched sides’ during footage

Emmerdale viewers noticed Meena Jutla hugging the wrong side of her body as she appeared in pain on this week’s ITV soap

Emmerdale: Charles Anderson visits Meena Jutla in prison

Emmerdale fans were left baffled, after noticing the change of killer Meena Jutla.

It seems Meena forgot which side of her body was injured in a horrific fall earlier this month, after she was pushed off a bridge by Liam Cavanagh.

While Meena is believed to have suffered a broken rib and a punctured lung, it is not clear which side of her body was damaged – or perhaps both.

That said, recent scenes show Meena supporting her right side with her left arm.

But on Tuesday’s episode of ITV soap, viewers spotted her suddenly clutching her left side as if it were injuring her.

She is shown in the rib cage on the left side, as she gets up to go see DS Rogers.

Later, when being grilled over her victims in the interrogation room, she was instead kept on the right side of her body.

Fans took to Twitter about her seemingly changing injury, as they commented on the “inconsistency”.

One viewer tweeted: “So when she walked into her last interview she was hugging her left rib, when she met Charles she was hugging her right! Hmmmmm …”

Other viewers who liked this comment concurred, indicating they’ve noticed the same thing.

A second fan later wrote: “Meena wasn’t exactly on which side of her body was sore.”

Maybe it’s because Meena isn’t in pain as she claims, and is simply trying to endure the trauma as she continues to try and expose Liam.

That would explain why she kept switching sides, since she didn’t really feel the pain.

Elsewhere, she terrified viewers in the ‘first soap’ when speaking directly to the camera and breaking the fourth wall.

Meena is shown verses from the bible where Charles shares his hope of being able to help the killer in some way.

She then made direct contact with Charles, but when she did, she looked directly into the camera lens as if making eye contact with the audience watching at home.

One fan wrote: “Omg that Meena’s ending gave me chills. What a horror.”

Another tweeted: “Looking down camera from meena never seen that on #Emmerdale.”

The third added: “Meena breaking the 4th wall.. so scary,” as the fourth said: “Don’t look at me like that Meena, you’re scary.”

Emmerdale airs at 7pm weekly on ITV, with an additional episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
