Emmerdale fans have been divided after serial killer Meena Jutla’s fate was sealed in tonight’s ITV episode following his confrontation with Liam Cavanagh

Emmerdale fans are divided as Meena’s fate is sealed in ITV soap tonight.

In scenes shown in Wednesday night’s episode, Liam eventually caught up with Meena on a bridge – the very place where she pushed his daughter, Leanna Cavanagh, to her death.

Pointing the pitchfork at her, Meena continues to taunt him about what happened to his daughter.

“You know,” she began, “It’s funny. I was so judgmental about how stupid people are when I chase them. Now look at me! It’s like Andrea running right into a maze. Even so, Leanna is the dumbest, no offense.”

That comment infuriated Liam understandably, who raged at Meena, telling her, “Don’t even say her name.”

Liam broke down in tears as Meena continued to recount to him exactly what happened when she murdered Leanna. Obviously heartbroken, Liam tells Meena that Leanna isn’t stupid, just “she didn’t know someone could be this bad”, as Liam lunged towards her.

She quickly stops him from following and reminds him that Leyla still needs to be rescued.

“You are a doctor”, Meena told him, “You don’t want to hurt me. Go save your wife, this is not you.”

He hurls his pitchfork over the side of the bridge and heads to his car to go help Leyla, but after one last taunt about Leanna from Meena, he rushes over to her and pushes her across the bridge.

Fans of the ITV channel are divided by what happened – with some hoping Meena has reached her end, while others are devastated by the serial killer’s fate. series has been sealed.

“YES LIAM!!!!!# emmerdale“, one person wrote.

The second added: “Rahhhhh gwaaan Liam #emmerdale”, the third added: “There’s no way that would happen to Queen Meena.”

“Ding dong, the witch is dead! #Emmerdale,” wrote a fourth.

The fifth person wrote: “You mean I just invested for the last time. I don’t know how many months for the final ending for Mean Meena and you ended it like that @emmerdale? #AnticlimacticDampSquib comes to mind. # MegaDisappointment.”
