Emmerdale revealed Ethan Anderson’s fate on Friday night, after he was taken to hospital following a violent attack.
The lawyer was beaten in a racist attack by his former client, Jordan, after he dropped the case.
Ethan is defending Jordan in a lawsuit against him, after he was arrested for assaulting Billy Fletcher during an unprovoked assault.
Jordan denied Billy’s claims it was racially motivated, before his racist views soon surfaced as he once again tormented Billy this week.
Ethan decides he can’t continue with the lawsuit, despite fearing it could threaten his legal career – and Jordan becomes annoyed.
Billy manages to track Ethan and Jordan, just as the thug is hitting Ethan on the floor.
The character claims he will make a deal with Jordan and retract his statement if he stops hurting Ethan, and let them both go.
But Billy was just stopping the thug until the police got there, and he was taken away when Ethan was taken to the hospital, unconscious.
On Friday, Marcus Dean was at the hospital and said that boyfriend Ethan was still bad at talking on the phone with his father Charles.
Later in the episode, Ethan is awake while he is in pain and fears Jordan, or his gang, might track him down and injure him.
It was revealed that he suffered swelling, bruising and two broken ribs, while he nearly broke his kidney.
But he will be fine, and with that news Billy decides to visit him.
Upon entering, Ethan is terrified of Jordan trying to kill him, while Marcus tries to keep him calm.
Billy then gets a phone call from police officer Harriet Finch, who informs him that Jordan is in custody and won’t be out anytime soon.
Billy tells Ethan he has nothing to worry about because he’s locked up, and the next time he sees him he’ll be in court.
Ethan soon tells Billy, “You saved my life, you put yourself at risk for me,” to which he replied, “You put your career first for me, just call it. that right.”
But viewers still believe that Marcus is hiding something behind the scenes, and may even have something to do with Jordan and the gang – previously claiming his reaction to seeing him was as if he were. knew him.
Taking to Twitter on Friday, one fan said: “Sorry Marcus, but I don’t support this boyfriend’s act of devotion. There’s something wrong with this guy.”
Another concurred: “Murky Marcus is hiding something,” as a third fan replied: “Sure, maybe part of a jordan gang?”
