Evil Meena targets Charles from prison
The evil serial killer Meena Jutla will try to get the villagers out of prison.
Charles had been planning to crack Meena’s confession while she was waiting for her plea hearing, but just started with a string of police interviews about her involvement in Leanna’s death. Cavanagh, Ben Tucker and Andrea Tate, Meena still wants things her way.
Charles will eventually visit Meena in prison as he tries to get a confession from her.
However, he is shocked when Meena confesses to killing Andrea, and tells in every painful detail what happened that fateful day in the corn maze.
Charles struggles to cope as Meena tells him all about what happened, and he soon returns to the church trying to process what she said. With a few words of support from Harriet, he decided to form a support group to help those who were struggling after the deaths of so many villagers at the hands of an evil killer.
He was encouraged when Dr Liam Cavanagh – who lost his daughter Leanna and wife Leyla who was shot by Meena in a horrific game on the viaduct last week – agreed to come and participate.
The next day, Charles told Meena – over the phone – that he didn’t want to see her again at this time and decided to put his church first and make time for them.
Meena is smoking and banging the handset against the prison wall, her plan to manipulate Charles immediately fails. But will Meena find a new way to reach him or how will the support team feel knowing Charles has visited her in prison?
Marcus is in danger of tearing Marlon and Rhona apart
Marlon Dingle and Rhona Goskirk were able to find their relationship on the rock thanks to newcomer Marcus Dean.
Things get complicated when Marcus informs Rhona (Zoe Henry) that she’s named in Pierce Harris’s will.
Rhona knows that time is running out to tell Marlon (Mark Charnock) the truth about Marcus’s identity, but when she learns of the will, she doesn’t know what to do.
When Kim Tate (Claire King) dropped by to talk to Rhona and learn of Marcus’s identity, she was confused but Rhona did her best to explain everything about Pierce and Marcus (Darcy Grey).
However, Kim couldn’t believe what she was hearing and when she stormed out, Marlon walked in confused as he only grasped the end of the confrontation.
Rhona eventually comes clean to a stunned Marlon, but he decides to leave because he needs time to digest everything he’s just been told.
This causes Rhona to wreak havoc on Rhona and fear the worst for the future of their relationship.
The next day, Marlon tells Paddy that he’s not sure if he can forgive Rhona and that when they cross paths, there will be a war of words.
When Rhona insults Marlon’s ego and accuses him of embarrassing the victim with her, Marlon’s left side is clearly hurt.
Keeping track of it all, Marcus begs him not to get angry because Pierce comes out to Rhona and Marlon is deeply hurt by Marcus’ words. But will it be enough for Marlon to want to reconcile?
Rhona is hot-tempered when it comes to getting things right between her and Marlon and decides to propose to him, but what will his answer be?
Ethan tries to change Marcus’s plans in an unexpected romance
Ethan Anderson will try to convince Marcus to stay in the village when he develops feelings for her.
After reading Pierce Harris’s will, Marcus saw no use in hanging around the village anymore and made plans to move on.
Regrettably, Ethan (Emile John) offers to meet before Marcus leaves, but unfortunately Marcus refuses the offer.
Ethan then tries to secure another date with Marcus, but his efforts continue to fall apart.
The next day, Ethan is encouraged when Rhona Goskirk and Marlon Dingle both agree to let him pursue a relationship with Marcus.
Can he get Marcus to change his mind before he turns his back on the village?
Earlier this month, Marcus’ actor Darcy Gray appeared on ITV’s Lorraine, where he teased that Marcus is more than eye contact.
Marcus is the son of the late Pierce, Rhona’s abusive ex-husband, and the one who informed her of his death in early February.
Speaking to Lorraine Kelly, 30-year-old Darcy said of her character: “It’s one of those things where it’s got a strong storyline to go into, so you have to be very careful when you go through those waters. .
“We’re definitely going to learn a little more about the person he is. I think that’s what’s really endearing about Marcus, he’s come with the assumption of who he is, but only time will tell. who the body really is,” Darcy teased.
So if his comments continue, it looks like there’s more drama ahead and Marcus may not be leaving the village so soon.
