The next day, Paddy notices Rhona is struggling with parenting balance while visiting Marlon.
Paddy visits him, and upon his return, Rhona explains her plans to bring him home soon and is pleased to learn that Paddy has a plan to lift Marlon’s spirits.
While Marlon has been crippled by his traumatic stroke, the cinematographers aren’t using the health scare to pave the way for the character’s exit from the ITV soap.
Instead, Emmerdale aims to raise awareness about the disease, including how to spot the warning signs of a stroke and offer hope for recovery, working closely with the Stroke Association to reflect the lifelike experience.
