Emmerdale’s Charity Dingle actress Emma Atkins remains calm about the ‘secrets’ surrounding the ITV soap’s big celebration at the end of the year

Emmerdale actress Emma Atkins has revealed the “big” footage that awaits on ITV, on its 50th anniversary.
The soap will celebrate its anniversary in October, and previous bosses have teased a stunt and other key moments including the birth.
Now, Charity Dingle star Emma has teased the footage, while remaining calm about the details.
She said it would be “huge,” while she ruled out the show would do another live episode for the time being.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain on Tuesday morning, Emma said when asked if they would be doing another real-time episode: “Richard is really freaked out, I’m not going to lie.
“But I don’t think we’re performing live but we’re going to do something that could be bigger and better. That’s going to be something I can’t really say because it’s a big secret, but it is. will be huge.”
It comes after bosses teased what fans can expect from 2022, before detailing the huge stuff for the 50th installment.
Speaking to The Mirror and other press in January, executive producer Jane Hudson teased: “There will be a new baby coming to Emmerdale before the end of the year.
“I don’t think that gives anything away since there are a lot of female characters on the show, but there will be a new character appearing before the end of the year. Maybe there will be a birthday in the anniversary month!
“The baby in the soap is either born on show celebration or Christmas, so there’s going to be one of those things happening.”
They also suggest that some major figures could come back strong to celebrate the milestone.
“We thought about the 50th all the time,” the show’s producers teased.
“I think maybe we were holding back some of our big ideas while Covid was so prominent in our lives because we didn’t know what we could achieve.
“But Super Soap Week has really shown us what we can do.”
They added: “And as cool as the stunts are – we have to have stories to back up those stunts. We can blow up anything but if there’s no story behind it. it – then what’s the problem?
“Our focus right now is on really building those stories so that when we get to the Golden Month we have secrets that viewers would love to reveal.”
There will also be some big emotional storylines for the soap’s biggest characters.
“But at the heart of it, our show’s most beloved characters are really going to be challenged in some big emotional stories. What’s important to us is whatever happens on the show. part 50 – the loss is huge. This will continue and bring us into 2023,” they added.
