Emmerdale viewers predicted a sinful fate for one of the ITV soap’s characters following a dramatic confrontation on Monday night’s episode.
Soap fans have suggested that Cain Dingle or Al Chapman could be murdered in upcoming episodes after ITV bosses revealed their feud was coming to a head.
Cain and Al’s enmity rose to its ugly head at the end of Monday night’s show, when the two faced off in a pub, before Cain was forced to leave by his sister Lydia.
But Al had followed Cain out and couldn’t resist stirring the pot after Cain had hung up on Lydia amid promises that he had left the pub.
Al said, “Promise,” before adding: “You just stick to it, right?
“You know it’s funny, the more you try to derail my life, the better it gets. Keep it up Cain, don’t let it get to you.
“I’m just glad Belle is finally seeing you for who you are. I wonder who is next? ”
Chas, hearing the argument, growls back: “Look at yourself. For God’s sake, Cain this had to end before it got too far.
“I don’t care about Al but if you keep pushing and jostling each other like this, sooner or later one of you will fall into the bust.”
Cain replied, “Let’s just hope it’s not me.”
ITV fans were obsessed at this point, with many pointing to it as evidence of an impending death on Dales.
Taking to Twitter, one person wrote: “Cain and Al’s feud is ridiculous, it really is. I could see one of these two eventually getting hurt. ”
One second said: “This is all going to end in tears, that’s all I know. Cain and Al really need to clean up before someone gets hurt.”
Another added: “Honestly I can’t stand this Cain and Al storyline. This can only end one way…”
Another fan predicted “Caine vs Al punches up”, while another fan wrote: “This feud between Cain and Al better ended in a death because of how tedious it was. “
One soap watcher predicted: “Another murder is afoot.”
Another concluded: “Chas basically just foretold Al’s death in that scene with both Al/Cain, their rivalry going too far!”
Elsewhere on Dales on Monday, Marlon finally returned home after suffering a debilitating stroke that left him hospitalized.
Since then, it’s been a long uphill battle for Marlon as he grapples with the new challenges he faces, including difficulty forming simple words.
But ITV revealers have revealed that while Marlon has made significant progress, his return home will not be smooth as his daughter April struggles to adjust.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30 p.m. on ITV.
