Amy Walsh has admitted she ‘doesn’t know when’ she will return to Emmerdale after giving birth to her daughter.
The ITV soap actress, who plays Tracy Metcalfe, recently welcomed a baby girl with Toby-Alexander Smith, her EastEnders partner.
She appeared on Loose Women on Friday to discuss her new life as a mother and when she will return.
Although she has confirmed that Tracy will return, she is uncertain about the specific date.
“Oh, that’s right. I mean, God knows when. I don’t know. I had to figure it out logistically because obviously… [gestures towards baby]”
Amy left the series last year. Her character leaves the village to find a new job in Nottingham.
That was after she found out her boyfriend Nate Robinson slept with Fiona Murphy.
It has also been reported that her real life partner Toby could be joining Emmerdale as her new love interest.
The reports are just speculation.
Amy and Toby also discussed their lives as parents during their appearance on the panel show.
She shared that the birthing process was a difficult one for her due to a number of complications.
The soap actress explained, “Yeah, it was tough. It wasn’t easy. I braced for the worst but it was worse than the worst.
“I had to cause for various reasons and the risk of infection, this is obviously just your discharge right. The contractions were quick but I didn’t dilate.
“In the end it was very difficult to get her out and many other complications. I had an epidural for induction but that happened so I had to recover another one in the middle of the worst part of the attacks. your contractions.”

Meanwhile, Amy and Toby confirm Bonnie’s arrival to YES! earlier this year, said, “Wow… what a busy week! Hope you all have a good one. HAPPY NEW YEAR from the three of us.”
Amy, the sister of Girls Aloud star Kimberley, said in November that she feels “made” to have a baby.
She said: “I felt strangely amused by it.
“I’m sure everyone who’s been through it reading this will laugh but it’s something I’ve always wanted to experience.”
