Emmerdale: Marlon falls to the floor after suffering a stroke
Marlon Dingle was left devastated as he grapples with the aftermath of his stroke.
Next week on Emmerdale, both he and his partner Rhona find it difficult to navigate the world following the incident, with his best friend Paddy clearly failing to cope either.
As Dingles prepares to send a video to Marlon in the hospital, Paddy worries that he is being spoofed and ends up under pressure and records a strange message for his friend.
But in the hospital, Marlon became increasingly frustrated when he saw his speech therapist.
While desperately trying to speak understandable words, Rhona was saddened to see how devastated Marlon was with her slow progress.
Rhona tried to push the overly stubborn Marlon and a nurse then took her aside and gently urged her to take the pressure off him.

Paddy then notices that Rhona is clearly feeling low and promises that he will do better, but is unable to convince Rhona.
She later apologizes to Marlon, but he can’t watch Dingles’ video himself, which acts as a reminder of all he’s lost.
Meanwhile, Mary fears that Rhona is putting too much pressure on herself as lonely Marlon regrets her decision to ban visitors…
Elsewhere, Cathy is crushed when Samson ruthlessly declares that he doesn’t care about her after she lied that she was in a relationship with him.
Also, Nate couldn’t help but feel pain when she watched her daughter’s old videos, hurt because she missed being on time with Frankie…
* Emmerdale airs at 7:30 p.m. weekdays on ITV, with additional episodes at 8 p.m. Thursday
