Emmerdale’s Meena Jutla finally has a court date revealing her plea on 18 charges.
The serial killer’s trial aired on tonight’s episode of ITV, and she was shocked to find almost no one was there when she arrived to see only Liam and Leyla Cavanagh and Manpreet Sharma and Charles Anderson was there.
Looking back at the public gallery, she was surprised how empty it was in the courthouse, as the clerk read out the various charges to her. The long list includes the murders of Ben Tucker, Andrea Tate and Leanna Cavanagh as well as the kidnapping and attempted murder of her sister Manpreet, who was sitting in the gallery above her.
When the first accusations are read out, Meena is asked how she begged for the plot to murder and kidnap her sister. “Your Majesty, my plea is guilty. I am guilty,” she told the court and the judge as the villagers behind heaved a sigh of relief.
She was then asked how she had pleaded guilty to trying to kill Leyla to which she had pleaded guilty, but when asked about the murder of Ben Tucker – whom she had killed after smashing an oars on his head – she did not admit it. sin.
Charges continued to roll out and she, once again, pleaded not guilty to Andrea’s murder.
“Why not? You’ve already admitted everything else,” Leyla looked at her angrily when she was ordered to keep quiet.
Meena then turned to look at Liam before answering the court clerk about her confession in the Leanna murder case. When she said she was not guilty, Leyla got up and raged at the prisoner.
“Why don’t you admit it? Why don’t you admit it? She did and she killed them all,” she says angrily, as Liam begs her to stop. . Enraged, the judge orders them to clear the public gallery and Liam storms out.
In the final moments before being taken back to her cell, Meena stops at the steps and winks at her sister Manpreet.
Back outside the court, Liam is left behind by Meena’s three pleas of not guilty.
“I knew it, I told you this was going to happen. Did you know she was going to do it?” he said, “Did you know she was going to set us up for a fall? Not only did she ruin my life, but she also had to rub salt in the wound.
“I need justice for my daughter, I need to close the door. I don’t know what I’ll do if I don’t get it.”
