Emmerdale’s Meena Jutla finally has a court date after her heinous crimes.
The sinister serial killer is on trial for the murders of Leanna Cavanagh, Andrea Tate and Ben Tucker, after she pleaded not guilty to those three crimes. Now she’s set to have her time in court, with Meena finally at the dock as she faces the judge over her gruesome crimes.
We already know her sister Manpreet Sharma and her friend Wendy have been called as witnesses – Manpreet for the prosecution, and Wendy as defense witnesses – but fans have been caught perplexed by a series of missing witnesses, all of whom do not appear in the initial images of the upcoming trial.
Here we take a look at why Vinny Dingle, Billy and Dawn Fletcher and Victoria Sugden all seem to be missing in the case.
Vinny (Bradley Johnson) is nearly murdered by the evil serial killer Meena after he gets closer to finding out the truth about what happened to Ben in an attempt to secure his girlfriend Liv. out of prison.
Liv has been incorrectly suspected of Ben’s murder, and in an attempt to get his current wife out of prison, Vinny sets out to find out who did it – with one of the following notes saying that ‘let’s talk to Meena’, got him right. in the sight of the evil killer.
It looks like Vinny won’t be at the trial next week, but that’s likely because she never actually confessed directly to him what she did to the others. Manpreet told him what happened, but since he didn’t hear it from Meena herself, it’s likely he won’t be able to present any evidence that would help the prosecution.
On the other hand, Manpreet’s testimony will be crucial.
Billy and Dawn Fletcher
Billy (Jay Kontzle) and Dawn (Olivia Bromley) may be husband and wife now, but they barely got a chance to celebrate their life together after Meena laid eyes on the pair. They were held at gunpoint by Meena on their wedding day, after she kidnapped them in a limousine and took them to an unused viaduct.
While they are being held hostage by Meena, it is unlikely that they will be present at the trial – and that is likely because they have been clearly held hostage. Many people witnessed it, including Leyla Cavanagh, while they too lived to tell of their own ordeal and so all the villagers soon knew what had happened.
Hard evidence – like the limousine and the rope Meena caught Dawn with to tie Billy and the gun, if they can find it in the ravine – is likely to provide enough evidence, even without testimony. their.
Victoria (Isabel Hodgins) is one of Meena’s first targets after she sets her eyes on the villagers because she wants her boyfriend David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden) for her. She tried to drown Victoria after the bridge collapsed during Super Soap Week last year, and killed Andrea when she realized she had seen the whole thing.
However, it seems Victoria didn’t get called to court – and that could be for a very good reason, as she really didn’t know any of that was going on. She was knocked unconscious by Meena and with the video that Ben discovered, leading to his untimely death, the police may have all the evidence they need about what Meena did to Victoria.
Either way, Emmerdale promises some interesting scenes as Meena finally comes to terms with her crimes. But will she manage to get away with everything again – or will the families finally get the justice they deserve?
