England is ready for a big night at the Amex – and the people of Brighton and Sussex will be cheering them on.
The Lionesses take on Spain in a sell-out Euro 2022 quarter-finals.
The anthems will be accompanied by 22 Woodingdean Wildcats girls aged 5 to 11 years old.
The Wildcats started three years ago as part of an FA program to get more girls into football.
They have been chosen as the mascot for today’s game and last Friday’s game between Norway and Austria.
A memorable atmosphere is expected tonight as England face their toughest test yet.
Lionesses boss Sarina Wiegman said: “We know our plan, we know our strengths, we know our opponents very well. We also know that there are more favorites.”
The tournament is a showcase for the very best in women’s football.
The Wildcats regularly have 80+ girls at Saturday morning practice sessions and are always looking for more. They can easily be found through Facebook.
