A statement from Mino Raiola’s family confirmed the sad news that the super agent, who represents the likes of Erling Haaland and Paul Pogba, has passed away at the age of 54

Erling Haaland has paid a touching tribute to Mino Raiola after football Superagent sadly passed away on Saturday at the age of 54.
Raiola has become one of the most recognizable figures in world football and has represented a host of high profile stars including Haaland, Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Italian-Dutch agent was hospitalized in January while being treated for a lung condition.
Italian reports on Thursday had indicated that Raiola had died that day. however, they were soon corrected . But on Saturday, a statement from his family read: “It is with infinite sadness that we share the passing of the most caring and amazing football agent ever.
“Mino fought to the end with the same force he used at the negotiating tables to defend our players. As always, Mino made us proud and never noticed.
“Mino touched so many lives through his work and wrote a new chapter in the history of modern football. His presence will be missed forever. Mino’s mission of making football a better place for players continues with the same passion.
“We thank everyone for the tremendous support they have received during these difficult times and ask for respect for the privacy of family and friends at this moment of grief. The Raiola family.”

Just hours after the tragic news was announced, Haaland lined up for Borussia Dortmund and scored a hat-trick as his side lost 4-3 to Bochum. After the game, Haaland took to social media and posted a picture along with Raiola with the caption ‘the best’.
A number of messages have been sent in the hours since his death, including earlier ones Tottenham Striker Mido. “Very sad to hear the news of the passing of @MinoRaiola. I learned so much from you and I wish I had listened to you a little more!! Always fought for his players, no matter who was on the other side of the table.”
Napoli striker Hirving Lozano scored in Napoli’s 6-1 win over Sassuolo before penning an emotional tribute to one of the big influences in his career.
“I have been blessed to know you and to learn from you. One of my great teachers in the soccer leagues,” Lozano wrote. “You are in a better place today because I believe your legacy undoubtedly transcends life.
“Living with you was one of the best things that ever happened to me. I will never forget our conversations and all the moments together. Pain is temporary, one day I’ll get over it and it will go away, instead your memory will live inside me forever. I will never stop missing you. I thank you for everything.
“I will honor your memory with every step you take, on and off the pitch. Rest in peace Mino Raiola, sleep and dream while I arrive, we have a second time to play.”
