Erling Haaland wins FIFA 23 TOTY 12th Man

THE Final Eleven for FIFA 23 Team of the Year (TOTY) was unveiled last week, and now we know the 12th man.

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland won a spot in the team as the last squad member via popular vote.

He beat out his Man City team-mate João Cancelo and Real Madrid’s Federico Valverde to secure a place in the team.

Haaland was the favorite to win from the start and many believed he deserved a first-team spot.

Last year there were three forwards up for pick for the 12th man, and winner Ronaldo wasn’t even nominated this year.

Haaland has scored 21 goals in 15 games since his debut at the club and has added five goals in just four Champions League appearances.

Like all other TOTY players, Haaland will receive a specially boosted card in FUT packs.

This will hugely improve any of his stats and will be of great value in the FIFA 23 in-game transfer market.

• tempo: 96 / base = 89 (+7)
• shoot: 96 / base = 91 (+5)

• dribbling: 88 / base = 80 (+8)
• defense: 68 / base = 49 (+19)
• physicality: 94 / base = 87 (+7)

Haaland’s card will now be available in FIFA Ultimate Team bundles along with all other members of the TOTY squad.

The highest rated TOTY card this year is Lionel Messi after his spectacular World Cup win.

João Cancelo and Federico Valverde will continue to appear as upgraded cards in FUT packs under Honorable Mentions.

While they won’t have as high a boost, they’re still worth paying attention to.
