Estate of Mexican Superstar Juan Gabriel Signs Global Deal with Virgin Music US Latin and Expands Global Publishing Deal with UMPG

The estate of Mexican recording star and songwriter Juan Gabriel has signed an exclusive worldwide agreement with Virgin Music US Latin.

Gabriel’s estate has also extended its agreement with Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG), the global music publishing division of Universal Music Group.

Under the new deal, Virgin Music US Latin will now represent Juan Gabriel’s post-2008 catalog and future recordings.

UMPG, meanwhile, will represent Gabriel’s entire iconic catalog through an expanded, exclusive global publishing agreement that brings Juan Gabriel’s music under the Universal Music umbrella.

During his 45-year career, Juan Gabriel released more than 47 albums.

His songs have been recorded in Japanese, Turkish, Bulgarian, French, Italian, Greek, Portuguese, Dutch, Melayu, Hawaiian and English.

Juan Gabriel’s hits include Hasta que te conoci, Abrazame Muy Fuerte, Querida, Cupid Eternoand Asi Fue.

The Latin music star has sold more than 150 million albums, composed more than 1,800 songs, released 32 studio albums and has had over 20 hits that have reached the Top 10 on Billboard, including 7 No.1 Billboard Hot Latin Songs.

The agreement between Virgin Music US Latin and the Juan Gabriel Estate marks the beginning of a relationship that will see the release of new music, including the album, in the coming months LosDuo 3.

Throughout his artistic career, Juan Gabriel has worked in concert and in the studio with international singers such as Juanes, Luís Fonsi, Alejandro Fernández, Rocío Dúrcal, Franco de Vita, José José, Ana Gabriel, Marc Anthony, David Bisbal, Natalia Lafourcade and Vicente Fernandez , Isabel Pantoja, Laura Pausini and Emmanuel.

Juan Gabriel has won 3 Latin Grammys (including 2016 Album of the Year).
