Grassroots teams have a chance to win new training equipment for the new season.
Euro 2022 sponsor Hisense is inviting players to tweet pictures of their team’s old or mismatched football gear.
Be sure to tag #Hisense for a chance to win brand new branded bibs and hats just in time for the start of the new season.
Hopefuls are encouraged to state why their club needs an equipment refresh and also to highlight the key figures who have kept their team going at the grassroots level – be it their coaches, teachers, supportive parents or the club secretary.
The top nominees will also win tickets to the UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 semi-finals, allowing players to see those who inspired them perform at the highest level and on the world stage.
This grassroots initiative is part of a broader “Remember the Name” campaign launched by Hisense, which plays on the parallels between the leading manufacturer and the stars of the Women’s Euros, where they are not yet as famous as their respective peers, but are still as famous as brilliant.
Arun Bhatoye, Head of Marketing at Hisense UK, said: “We are delighted to support the game at grassroots level as part of our ‘Remember the Name’ campaign. All the big names got their start in grassroots football and without the support at that level we wouldn’t have many of the stars taking to the field at the Women’s Euros this summer. By offering amateur sports players the chance to win new gear and tickets to the WEUROs, we hope to inspire and support the next generation of stars on their journey.”
