DELE ALLI’S Tottenham’s nightmare is officially over after he agreed to a move to Everton for which Goodison’s side won’t spend a dime until next season.
Newcastle make a late slip to try and loan the Spurs player after missing out on Jesse Lingard.
But Dele becomes Frank Lampard’s second signing after Everton confirmed his appointment this morning, following Donny van de Beek to Merseyside.
Under the terms of the two-and-a-half-year contract for the 25-year-old former England midfielder, there is no upfront payment.
Instead, a series of provisions will come into effect at various stages, with Spurs receiving their first £10million payout after Dele made 20 appearances for the Toffees.
Total, Everton could pay 40 million pounds.
Though it will require Dele to return to the form that has made him one of the game’s most prominent talents under Mauricio Pochettino.
On his move, Dele revealed: “I am delighted to have signed for Everton, a huge club with a great fan base and history.

“I’m eager to start and can’t wait for my first game in an Everton shirt.
“I look forward to helping the team and having the opportunity to work with new manager Frank Lampard.”
Daniel Levy has agreed to an unusual, incentive pay structure as Everton have a Financial Fair Play issue for this season.
But it is also a sign that Antonio Conte has made it clear that Dele has no future in the N17 under his reign, nor the acceptance of Spurs The hierarchy in which the midfielder needs a change of circumstances.
Dele scored 46 goals in 146 appearances for Spurs in his first three seasons after arriving from MK Dons for just £5m in 2015.
But he has scored just 21 goals in 123 games in the past three-and-a-half, with his only goal in the past 18 months coming from the penalty spot against Wolves in August.
This season, he has only had 8 starts in the Premier League.
Tanguy Ndombele, Giovani Lo Celso and Bryan Gil also left Tottenham on the last day, with loans to Lyon, Villarreal and Valencia respectively.
Run wings Dejan Kulusevski joined with an initial loan of 18 months from Juventus with an obligation to buy in the summer of 2023 for £29 million.
The transfer of the Swedish star was announced a few minutes later Rodrigo Bentancur has completed his £20m transfer from The Old Lady to the Lilywhites.
