A new trailer yesterday for the coming Obi Wan Kenobi dropped. In anticipation of the imminent release, Ewan McGregor is in full press mode to support the six-part series and has virtually stopped by The Jimmy Kimmel Show.
During the interview, McGregor dived right into a range of topics ranging from action figures of himself to fans who know more about the series than he does. But it’s a certain aside that made us pause.
In the interview, he praises director Deborah Chow, who “really knows what’s going on [her stuff]’ in reference to the various mediums inhabiting the Star Wars universe. McGregor says that “all storylines … have to fit together” and that you “can’t have facts in a video game that don’t match the movie”.
It’s a known fact that Star Wars Jedi: Fall Order is set around the same time as the events of Obi-Wan Kenobi Series. It’s not that big of a jump into hyperspace to think we might see a cameo from Cal Kestis or any other Fallen Order character.
In Jedi Fallen Order, Cal is being hunted by the Jedi-hunting Inquisitors. In fact, in both Fallen Order and the Obi-Wan series, the main villains are the Inquisitors. Check out our Jedi: Fallen Order review to see what we think of Cal’s adventure. Could he be in Obi-Wan Kenobi?
Fortunately, we don’t have to wait too long to find out. Obi-Wan Kenobi will premiere his first two episodes on May 27, 2022 on Disney Plus. In the meantime, check out our coverage of the heartfelt reunion between Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen for Obi-Wan Kenobi, and be sure to check out the first trailer for the series.
