Ewan McGregor’s ex-wife, Eve Mavrakis, has suffered another heartbreak just hours before the Star Wars actor is set to tie the knot a second time.

Trainspotting star Ewan, 51, was married to 55-year-old French production designer Eve in 1995 and they had four daughters together.

However, their marriage fell apart in May 2017 – with Eve and their children reportedly blind when Ewan filed for a divorce and then quickly began dating 37-year-old actress Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

Ewan and Mary are due to exchange vows at a ceremony in California this weekend – but reports have surfaced that Eve is single again, with the news breaking hours before Ewan’s alleged new wedding.

The Daily Mail reports that the film crew member has split from film composer Jonathan Elias, 66 – who is described as her “longtime boyfriend”.

A source told the publication, “Eve and Jonathan really enjoyed each other’s company but unfortunately it didn’t work out and their paths have parted.”

The report continued: “Elias met Eve four years ago through a mutual friend.

“She confirmed their romance…last summer after spending a ‘magical’ vacation on Lake Como in Italy. It was her first relationship since McGregor left her in 2017 after 22 years of marriage.”

The collapse of Ewan and Eve’s marriage made headlines when model daughter Clara, 26, snapped at her dad and his new love interest.

She famously branded Mary “a piece of junk” and seemingly slammed her father as an “a***hole” in a tribute to her mother online.

However, Clara later clarified, writing online: “Let’s get one thing straight. I didn’t attack my father or call him [an] a hole. I just said [my mom] deserves someone who isn’t.”

Ewan and Eve’s divorce was finalized in August 2020 – with reports saying the Scottish star would pay his wife £40,000 a month and share royalties from his films in their settlement.

Ewan and Mary met on the set of the hit American crime drama Fargo, which was filmed in early 2017 and aired later that year.

The couple welcomed a son named Laurie in June last year.

Mary, who is from North Carolina, was previously married to filmmaker Riley Stearns, 35, and the couple became husband and wife in 2010.

The couple separated in 2017 and their divorce was finalized later that year.

Reports surfaced this week that suggested Ewan and Mary will tie the knot in a top-secret ceremony this weekend.

A source told PageSix, “They are more in love than ever and having their first child together last year has only strengthened their bond.”
However, the couple themselves have yet to confirm or deny their wedding plans — or even if they’re engaged.
