He recently lost the role of interim head coach, having previously worked as Wayne Rooney’s assistant.
Rosenior had guided the Rams to seventh place in League One after a turbulent summer.
He has now left the club after yesterday’s talks.
A statement from the Rams said: “His tireless efforts helped lay the foundation for the remainder of the current season and beyond. We will always be grateful for that.
“He has consistently behaved in an exemplary and professional manner and we believe he has a bright future in management.
“We send Liam all our best wishes and he will always be welcome here at Pride Park Stadium as part of the Derby County family.”
Albion fans will best remember Rosenior for his efforts in helping the club emerge as the eventual successful contenders for promotion from the Championship.
